We have one Daughter, Isabella who was born Oct 19 2006 and a son Caleb due in Feb of 2009! This blog is for our Family and Friends to catch up on how we are doing. What a great invention!

    Best Wife Ever

    Ok,
I have to brag about my wife for a moment. As you all know I had ACL reconstruction surgery on Monday, November 21st and was in alot of pain. My wife has been more patient and helpful than any person should be. She has gotten ice for my knee, food, and even helped me change clothes and take a shower. She hasn't complained once about having to do these extra things for me, and has a good attitude and great Spirit. She is amazing!!!

On top of that I was a little bummed that my preorder of the XBox 360 was not suppose to come in until next month. And since I had surgery on Monday I wasn't going to be able to stand in line to try and get one. So my amazing wife offered to go stand in line. She got up at 5 am on Tuesday and went and stood in line for me at Costco for 4 hours and was able to buy one for me. Now this is even more huge in the fact that she hates video games and has very little patience for me playing for long periods of time. However since I can't play any sports... at all... for the next 10 months and she knew I would need something to do with my time. How amazing is that?!?!?

I love my wife more than anything and this just goes to show that I married way out of my league. She is the best thing to ever happen to me and I have to say that I am so blessed to call her my wife. I am the luckiest man alive.

    Baby, It's cold outside!

It is cold here! 40 during the day and 20's at night! Although will little to no humidy it's not as cold as it would be in Seattle! There is snow on the outskirts, up in the mountains, but none down in the valley, YET! In Seattle with all the rain it would be frozen everywhere in this weather. Still have lots of sun though, which is nice and not nice. To have it this cold you almost want the snow and rain like Seattle! Almost! ;) Well Justin had his surgery last Monday and did fine. It was about 2 hours and it took him an hour to wake up from the Anesthesia, but he did good! He is already off the pain medication and gone to physical therapy. He has to go 3 times per week! I guess your leg decides to stop working after such a surgery so he has to retrain it so it can become useful again! He has really enjoyed someone waiting on him hand and foot for sure! His mom sure wishes she was here to take care of him, and I do too sometimes! ;) I decided to be an even better wife and stand in line at Costco to get him an XBOX 360 while he was laid up from his surgery! I was 15th in line and was there at 5:45am till Costco opened at 9:30. It wasn't too bad. 20 degree weather isn't so bad when you are tired! But then the sun came out and warmed everyone up! Now he has something to do at home! He will not be able to play sports though for about a year, while it heals and learns to work again. No Tahoe for him this year, I guess those new bindings and boots will sit in the garage a little longer! Justin will just have to stay home on Tuesday nights and watch Gilmore Girls and Biggest Loser with us! Side note: SUZY is in the top three! Go Suzy! Mary and I cry almost everyweek! The show is really good! I don't know though if we would have watched if it wasn't for Suzy! We kinda do the opposite thing as they are doing though, for some reason we like to eat junk food(alot) on Tuesday nights! We are really bad, I know but eating healthy 6 days a week is hard on you! Alright back on track! So Justin is doing well and will be on crutches for a couple more weeks probably even when we come for Christmas. I can't wait! I completly miss everyone and everything! I don't know if I have mentioned before at all, but this place has the lamest mall in the history of the world! I think 3rd world contries have a better mall than Reno does! At least there is plans for a new mall and hopefully a Nordstroms and a better Express!

    Celine Dion! I love her!

Celine Dion was awesome! I can't even express how great the concert was! She puts on the best show! We were in the 3rd row! We could see everything, the lines on her face, her facial expressions, how she breathed, all of it. She sounded so good too! The concert was about 1.5 hours and it seemed alot longer. She did probably 9 songs and they all sounded so good and the lighting and dancers were awesome. She sang one song on the steps to the stage right in front of us! I found myself looking at only her and watching her sing instead of the dancers and the stage. She is the best singer ever! I am totally going back again, but I want center stage 1st row! She is totally worth the price of the tickets. I was a little sad to not be going to each show on Saturday and Sunday, but was happy to at least see the first show of the weekend! We got all dressed up just for her. We are not geeks! Really! Oh which reminds me, if anyone has ever seen Celine dance, you will understand when we say she is a nerdy dancer! But I love her and don't care! Hopefully I will get to go back soon and take Justin with me to see her so he can experience it, even if you don't like her music you would love this show. Oh and she even has her own store in Caesar's Hotel. We bought some Celine gear to commerate the experience! :)

    We Made it back!

WOW! There is nothing like Vegas! It was an experience for sure! Mary and I were shocked by the outwardness of the sex. We just looked at the hotels and tried not to make eye contact! I don't want to sound Lame but we were shocked. We of course heard about Vegas but it's hard to picture until you are there. Other than being hit on at least twice a day and invited to go to clubs and handed naked chick cards, we did ok. Vegas is pretty with all the lights and buildings. We went to every Hotel there, except the Stratesphere and the unknown hotels. Caesars was my favorite and so was the Paris. Caesars was so nice and ellegant looking inside and Paris was very romantic and had the old school buildings inside. New York New York was cool as well. Mary and I went on the Roller Coaster there and we were so scared! It's a long ride and jerky! You go up really high and down to the ground, you could touch the ground! I was of course screaming and mary was laughing at me. I told her I hated her for making me go! At one point I thought it was over but then realized it wasn't, actually that happened twice! We also went on the Sahara rollercoaster called Speed. That one was fast! It starts out at 45 mph, and it gets that fast in 2 seconds, then speeds up to 77 mph. We were so scared! We probably wouldn't do either of those again! At least I won't! We went and saw the Art Museum at the Bellagio hotel. that was interesting, so the is some culture in Vegas! Bellegaio is pretty too and has an awesome looking pool area! MGM was very Hollywood, and had the Studio 54 club, network clothing shops, Wax museum, and a Television Show theatre. We didn't do anything at that hotel though. All the hotels had their own themes and they did a good job with them. I will have to save the Celine Dion concert for a whole new entry! Although it was awesome, I am pretty speechless! Let's see..... Mary and I went to bed about midnight everynight. We are lame! But when it get's dark the clubs start hoppin and people are out in full force and they are way drunk! We went to the top of the Eiffel Tower at the Paris hotel on our last night there and you can see a view of the city and the strip. It was very pretty! The Eiffel Tower there is built to be a replicate however it's only half the height! The Bellagio as everyone knows has a really cool fountain out front that goes to music. We watched it so many times! On our last day there we finally made the effort to catch the whole show though. It was going to Faith Hill's "This Kiss". It is pretty loud when the water starts, it sounds like Fireworks. They even do an American theme and play God Bless the USA by Lee Greenwood, that one is the best I think! They even light up the Bellagio to be red, white, and blue. Well I will post some pictures and get back to Blogging with more info and the Celine Concert later!

    Vegas Baby!!!!!!!

Yahoo! Mary and I are finally going to Vegas! We leave on the 11th at 11:am and come back on Sunday at 11PM! We are way too excited! We got great tickets through southwest to fly there and it's only a 50 min flight! Guess what we are going to do there! Gamble? No No! We are going to se CELINE DION! Ok hold on I just got light headed from the shock! Mary and I contintually pass out when we talk about it just from sheer excitment! We come too when Grace yells or our phone rings! ;) We will totally have pictures up on our blogs by next week! We are going to buy Celine tshirts and stuff to always remember! We are staying at the Excalibur hotel which is not too far from Caesars!

    Justin's Injury

Well, I guess someday as active as he is it would have to happen! Kidding! Anyway Justin was at basketball a couple of weeks ago and he popped his knee out and did some pretty hefty damage to it. On Monday he had an MRI to find out for sure what is wrong since the pain is still there although mild and the swelling hasn't gone down. We find out on Thursday 11/10/05 the results. Worst case is the tendons or something seperated(I guess like that basketball or Football guy that just got injured this season. He tore all 3 and the doctor thinks Justin tore 2 of them) Hope that makes sense! I am not a sports girl! If he did tear the tendons then he can't play sports for at least one year and he has to have surgery on his knee. That I think he is more bummed about since he plays basketball every Tuesday and wants to go snowboarding alot this year with Tahoe being so close. Anyway will update after we know for sure on Thursday what is going on!

    Halloween!

Halloween was a lot of fun. We have small group on Monday night with a couple of couples including Bryan and Laura(Youth Pastors at our church). We went to their house this week. Justin and Kurt decided that it would be funny to dress up like Bryan. So they grabbed some Hawaiian print shirts (he likes to where those and shirts with Fish on them ;)) and did there hair and shaved their facial hair just like Bryan. I must say it is not an attractive look on our husbands! They should leave the look to Bryan, it looks much better on him. It was really funny! Grace was a Ballerina Princess. She looks so adorable! Mary and I even put makeup on her and Mary french braided her hair! But just like Grace she messed up her hair so Mary in the end just pulled it into a cute little ponytail.
