The Carpenter Family

Justin and I moved to Nevada in August 2005. We love it here. However we miss our family and friends back home. Our church here is great! We have been married for 7 years. We have one Daughter, Isabella who was born Oct 19 2006 and a son Caleb due in Feb of 2009! This blog is for our Family and Friends to catch up on how we are doing. What a great invention!

    Carpenter Family Christmas

Justin and I got back from visiting our family and friends in Seattle, WA on Tuesday. We were gone for almost a week. We had a lot of fun. It was good to go back and see almost everyone and just hang out. We went back to our old church, had lunch with friends, and hung out with all the family. We wished we could have seen some more of our friends but that's ok. We went to lunch with John and Jess to Chang's in Kent. I miss that place! There is no Mongolian food here at all! We went to Real Life Church's Christmas Eve service as well. It was very nice and they had Jess singing some great Christmas carols and a fire up on the screen.

Justin Dad bought a Go cart and the boys went wild with it!
Justin took me on it as well and then I drove it. It is really fun, but it's fast! And the backyard was really slick with the rain and pine needles and leaves and dirt. The dirt would spray up onto you as you drove. That's why I have a helmet and glasses on. Justin and his brothers were so dirty! But boys will be boys! Justin at one point even tipped it over! They had so much fun! Last year it was a mini motorcycle. Boys and their toys! They would spin it and do 360's down the drive way. Jeremy even rode it up these steps in the front yard!
I wonder what it will be next year! What ever it is, it gets bigger every year!

Chloe(Jeremy and Morgen's daughter) got a Barbie Jeep from Grandparents! She loves it! She looks so cute! We all had a great Christmas I think just hanging out with family! We went and got pictures done for Justin's parents of just us kids for a group gift to them. They of course thought it was the best! Deena gave me a sewing machine and I totally love it! I asked for one even though Justin balked at me! I think it is a necessity, and I wanted to pick it up again. We bought a really nice table and chair set and I wanted to make my own chair covers for them! Let me tell you though, I started doing it last night and it is a lot of work! It was a great Christmas and maybe next year we will have it here in NV!

    Jingle bells!

Jingle Bells Jingle Bells, Jingle all the way! Oh what fun it is to ride in a one horse open sleigh HEY! I love Christmas! Nothing like all the lights, decorations, the cold, SHOPPING, family, and friends! I love this time of year for the season change and how everyone's spirits light up. I know the true meaning of Christmas is all about Jesus and him being born. But I sure do love the Christmas of today of celebration, gift giving, pink cheeks, and CANDY! Even though I do love getting presents and giving them, I am more happy and excited about the preperation of Christmas and the build up to it. Going out and buying the presents and thinking of what to get those you love knowing what there expressions will be when they see what they get and how much you know they love it and they can tell you thought of them when you bought it! It makes me laugh and smile. Christmas really is the most unselfish time of the year(or at least should be)! Everyone gathering around a fire, laughing, telling ol family stories, opening presents in your PJ's going to Grandma's for Sticky buns in the morning and hanging out with 100 of the closest family members, that grows every year! This year going home for Christmas is even better. Justin and I get to see family that we haven't seen for about 5 months. I wish we could visit more often. Merry Christmas too all!
