The Carpenter Family

Justin and I moved to Nevada in August 2005. We love it here. However we miss our family and friends back home. Our church here is great! We have been married for 7 years. We have one Daughter, Isabella who was born Oct 19 2006 and a son Caleb due in Feb of 2009! This blog is for our Family and Friends to catch up on how we are doing. What a great invention!

    Isabella Sophia Carpenter

We had our doctor's appt today to check out the baby and find out what we were having. The baby is healthy and moving and kicking all over the place! We got to see the brain and spinal cord and all the vertebrae. We have pictures of the legs and knees and the muscles, the hands and fingers. It was so amazing and awesome! The wonders of technology! As some of you know or can tell from the name of my post we are having a little baby girl! Her name is Isabella Sophia. Drano was right and so was Justin and my's intuition! Long Live Drano! We are so excited and can't wait to buy all the clothes and little girl stuff! This picture is of her fingers and it is by far my favorite picture that was taken. It's just so awesome!

    Boy or Girl?

What do you think Baby is? Post your answer's and we will see who is right! No one gets a prize except for the ability to predict Baby's sex! Justin and I say a girl. My dad says a boy(hopefully thinking), Justin's mom says Boy until I took the infamous Drano test and it said Girl! Chinese New Year calendar says Girl as well! We will find out on May 25th in the afternoon. Winner will be annouced the next day! We will be happy with either Boy or Girl. We have so many ideas and thoughts about each, we just have a feeling Baby is a girl! Also if you have suggestions on Boy names cause they only ones we have come up with for a Boy are Caleb and Gaven.

    Team Argyle

Here is a picture from this last week's Young Adults meeting. I got a phone call from one of my young adults asking me to wear one of my argyle sweaters because he had just bought one and was nervous to wear it by himself. Well come to find out they had bought a bunch of argyle sweaters from a couple of thrift stores and put them on while I was getting ready for my lesson. I came out to find a bunch of my guys wearing sweaters. It was 80 degrees that day!!!

I also wanted to share a point that our pastor, here in Nevada, has shared and one that I have shared with my Young Adults. It is so simple yet so profound I was speechless the first time I heard it.

"You are the only Bible some people will ever read."

Jessica, on her blog, talks about making a mission statement for your life. My mission statement is that my choices and lifestyle would line up solely with the Word of God. That people would see my life and my choices and know I am saved. That Jesus would be glorified in everything that I do.
