The Carpenter Family

Justin and I moved to Nevada in August 2005. We love it here. However we miss our family and friends back home. Our church here is great! We have been married for 7 years. We have one Daughter, Isabella who was born Oct 19 2006 and a son Caleb due in Feb of 2009! This blog is for our Family and Friends to catch up on how we are doing. What a great invention!

    5 Year Anniversary

I can't even believe it. 5 years ago today I convinced Karon to say "I DO" in front of 200 family and friends. I remember the day so clearly and still can't believe she said those 2 very powerful words. Many people have said that I married out of my league and I agree whole heartedly with them. My wife is an amazing woman. She has stood beside me in difficult times, in great times, when I have said something stupid ( which happens alot ) and even when we have made difficult choices. She is my world! She has such a heart for children, and I am so blessed that she will be the mother of my daughter. She is the most beautiful woman I have ever seen and, once again, I am reminded that I married out of my league. She has such a heart for God and really shows the love of Jesus in everything she does.

5 Years ago my life changed dramatically. It changed for so much better than what I would have ever expected or asked for. Karon was the answer to my prayers regarding a wife. When the Bible talks about a virtuous women I believe that it had Karon in mind. She is the example that is listed in Proverbs 31:10-12 "Who can find a virtuous and capable wife? She is worth more than precious rubies. Her husband can trust her, and she will greatly enrich his life. She will not hinder him but help him all her life." This is Karon to the letter. I trust Karon in every way and she has added so much Joy to my life I can't even begin to explain it to you.

I LOVE everything about Karon. From the way she says "Oh my Gaaaahhhhh!" to the way she does her makeup, the way she thinks her, Mary , and Jessica are hilarious, to the way she knows every single 80's pop hit word for word. I truly love her and find myself falling more in love with her on a daily basis. To my wife, it has been a remarkable 5 years and I look forward to spending another 80 years together.

    30 Weeks!

Well I have been bugged to post again so here it goes. I am tired! I am sure all pregnant women at any stage and previously pregnant women can relate. I love being pregnant but I am getting to the point where I miss my cute clothes! I miss not "waddling" when I get up from a sitting position or leaning forward a little when I walk because I am having a Braxton Contraction. In moving I found all my cute Express and Seven jeans and really wished they could still fit! Express should totally make maternity jeans. Especially for us ghetto Reno folks who have stupid malls to shop at. I had a doctor's appointment last Tuesday and my doctor said Bella is head down. I am very glad about that! Although I wouldn't miss the bladder pressure! She is resting comfortably on her side with her limbs in MY side and likes to kick if I lay on that side. It hurts pretty bad. Justin laughs and thinks it's funny. So one night we were sitting on the couch and I leaned on him with my elbow in his side, it took him a minute to really really feel it but once he did he wanted me off him and to take my elbow with me! Oh, it doesn't feel good does it! Poor baby! :) I would post a picture of my every growing belly which is measuring right on for my weeks, and is actually the same size as Mary's even though I am 3 weeks behind her! Bella is active and likes to "jump" inside of me alot. More so then she will kick or hit. She did however give me a hernia! Nice huh! I have a violent child inside me! I guess she is just showing me who is boss early! It's nothing big or gross just a little soar. We are going to buy her dressers here in the next week or two and set those up and put all her clothes in them. I can't wait! I can't really think of anything else to blog about. Justin is doing fine and is enjoying the Gathering. He has more people coming every week so that makes him more excited! He finally got a laptop (a MAC) so he can do all his powerpoint and lessons on. MAC's are really cool! They have so many features and cool things on them! Plus it's white and that's unique in itself! Our friend Laure who is due on the 25th of Aug got her doctor to agree to and induction on the 23rd if she hasn't had the baby by then! Lucky her! She knows when her baby is coming! I hear inductions can make child birth harder but I don't think they care! They just want to see her! I can't say I blame them! Plus once she starts the ball rolling of birth it means it's just one day closer for me! I am the last of 4 prego's! Laura will start it and I will end it! We did get some more photos of the 4 of us at our friend Rebecca's shower this weekend. She was so excited to come since she has been on bed rest for around probably 8 weeks now! She is 2 weeks ahead of me. She can't stand Oprah and Dr. Phil anymore! Well that's it for now.
