Bella is here!

Bella is finally here! She arrived on October 19th at 7:50am. She is so pretty! We are completly in love with her. Justin is such a help! He actually doesn't mind changing diapers and clothes and rocking her to sleep or burping her in the middle of the night! He is an awesome husband and dad! Grandma is here and is helping as well. She stayed up with her from midnight to 3 am the other morning when she just wanted to be held and not sleep! We are doing well although we are a little
sleep deprived! Bella is growing great too! She was born at 6lbs 10oz and was 19 and 1/4 inches long and her head was 12 inches. When we left the hospital she weighed 6lbs 7 oz which is normal. We had her 1st doctors appt on Monday and she is 19 and 1/2 inches, 6lbs 9oz, and her head is now 13 and 1/4 inches! She loves to eat! She still has blue eyes and they will probably stay that way since almost everyone on both sides has blue eyes! She has blonde hair right now with a little brown in it. She smiles and grins all the time! I think she loves
her life here already! She is such a blessing to us and is so perfect! Labor was since 3:30am on the 18th. They were definatly tolerable but painful about every 5 mins. They stopped for a couple of hours around one but picked up again around 4 that evening. Then around 9 pm they started to get really painful and across my back. By 10pm they were 2 mins apart and lasting about 1 min! Back labor is soooooo painful! All you who have had will know what I mean! We headed to the hospital about 10:45 that night and were hooked up at the hospital about 11:15. I was still only a 3! I couldn't believe it! But they let me stay since my contractions were consistant and 2 min apart. I walked from Emergency to the labor and delivery floor(taking elevators of course) and then they brought me a wheelchari. I just didnt' want one before! Stubborn me! It made me cry when I saw they had one for me! Stupid hormones! Then at about 2:30 that morning the 2 min contractions were just way too painful and were starting to only back off not go away in between each of them. So I was shaking uncontrollably. I tried to hold out but after 9 hours of those contractions I was ready for an Epidural! We trained for natural and we tried but sometimes the pain can win in the end! I was able to calm down and relax and get a little bit of sleep. Once I got the epidural they said I was at a 5! Talk about slow labor! I know others have had longer but good lord! Justin's hand was so sore from me squeezing it for 9 hours! Everytime I would have a contraction though he would offer me his hand and help me try to concentrate on breathing. Then at 6:00 that morning they came in and said that we were good to go! Seeing her little head come into this world and was amazing! All the pain and long waiting was so worth it! I am not ready to have another of course yet :) but it was just the best experience ever!
