The Carpenter Family

Justin and I moved to Nevada in August 2005. We love it here. However we miss our family and friends back home. Our church here is great! We have been married for 7 years. We have one Daughter, Isabella who was born Oct 19 2006 and a son Caleb due in Feb of 2009! This blog is for our Family and Friends to catch up on how we are doing. What a great invention!

Examples of Counting it ALL Joy!

Man we have a lot of garbage! I take it out almost everyday!
That means we have enough food to eat!
Man why are there so many diapers!
We have enough diapers so Bella doesn't have to poop on the carpet!
Why do we have so much laundry to do!
Justin and Bella and I have enough clothes to get us through every season!
There is nothing on TV tonight
    We can still afford TV!
Justin and I have been really busy today! (ok not me this month)
We have jobs that help pay the bills!
There is always dishes to do!
I have food to eat and plates and pots and pans to cook it!
    I am Tired!
I have a roof over my head and a bed to lie down on!
I am out of gas again!
I don't have to walk to church and work!
    My car got broke into!
I have a car! And they are nice(except for the spare tire and broken window that doesn't have tint on it :))

I have to clean the house again for our LIFE Group!
I have a place to live, a roof over my head!

    Count it ALL Joy!

Justin and I have had a rough March financially! Last week we decided that since there was so much of March left that we needed to change out attitudes about it. Now everything is just funny and unsuprising! Some of you have heard but for those who haven't here is just some of what has happened. My car got broke into on Monday the 5th and they stole my IPOD! They broke my passenger side window. Thankfully they didn't steal anything else or my car. VW's have a security thing where if you lock your car from the outside with your FOB you can't unlock the car without it. I actually experience this while nursing in the car when I had justin lock me in while he got reservations! Anyway that cost us money, and it's going to cost us even more cause even though the window is fixed they broke the regulator and now my window won't go down unless I spend another couple hundred dollars to get that fixed! Then we had another thing come up that cost us a couple of hundred dollars as well. I wear contacts and apprantly Justin's insurance only covers my exam every other year so I had to pay for my exam this week as well to get more contacts. However Walmart was so cheap and my contacts were the cheapest I have ever paid! Yea! Oh and the kicker is that we have no loans closing right now! Yea! :) So we are just living off Justin's salary. We have talked about it and we are "ok" with things right now but it does get to you sometimes. Our church just finished a 10-10-80 series. Some have probably heard about it. But basically you give 10% save 10% and live off 80%. Well for the past 6 months we actually need 100% to live off of. Sometimes we have had a little extra but usually a "surprise" awaits us that we use most of that "extra" money for. But we decided that we were just going to start doing this and God will make it work! Guess what month we decided to start all this! MARCH! Funny huh!( not so much to us but.....) Anyway, we are really believing that it will all work out somehow and the money we need to pay our bills this month will somehow work itself out. We don't know how but we know that we have faith (sometimes a little less) and that if we follow God he will provide. We are testing this and we believe it will work! We have lived with Plenty in the past and now we are living with little. Justin just tells us almost everyday this is just a season! I hope it's like Summer in Seattle cause that's a short season! :) We had a laugh last week on Friday about things and came up with some funny stuff to say when we Count it ALL Joy! See my next Post!

    More Pics

    4 1/2 months old

I can't believe it! Bella is 4 and half months old already! She will be 5 months on the 19th of this month! She now weighs 15 lbs 6oz which is the 90% and she is 26 and half inches long which is apparantly tall becuase that was listed as "off the charts". Yea for our growing little girl! She LOVES to eat cereal and sweet potatoes and pretty much any of the 1st foods she just gobbles up and each bite she makes a "mmmm" noise. She almost rolls over onto her stomach but usually only will try once she is naked! She loves her bath and usually we all just pile into the bath tub and take one big family bath! She always wants to suck on her hands or my hands or bite really hard on all her toys. Most dont give her the satisfaction she is looking for so she will get frustrated and "throw" them! It's kinda cute! Her personality is coming through strong already!

We bought her a doll that has all these bright colors and she loves her and is always talking to her. Last week she decided that she would let me clean up a HUGE messy poopy! I was baffled for about 2 mins of how to clean it up, there was so much and it was everywhere! It was all the way up to her shoulder blades on her back! I guess pooping in her excersaucer isn't a good idea! I came to the conclusion since she was wearing her "ghetto" clothes (too small and not matching cuase her clothes were in the wash) that I would just take the scissors and cut them off of her! So I flipped her on her tummy and cut around the poop! then wiped her up from there!
