The Carpenter Family

Justin and I moved to Nevada in August 2005. We love it here. However we miss our family and friends back home. Our church here is great! We have been married for 7 years. We have one Daughter, Isabella who was born Oct 19 2006 and a son Caleb due in Feb of 2009! This blog is for our Family and Friends to catch up on how we are doing. What a great invention!

    Family Pics!

Bella turned 6 months last thursday and we got our family photos taken and her 6 months photos taken. She has grown so much! She can now sit up on her own and play with her toys, she loves her baby food, especially Sweet potatoes and carrots! So she is a little orange from those around her nose! She likes to "spit" and laughs at things randomly! She is so funny! I can't believe how big she is and how much she has learned! I don't know yet how much she weighs or how tall she is for her 6 months cuase her appt is not for another week and half but I am guessing she probably weighs around 18 or 19 lbs! She looks small to people until you see her with shorts on! She has huge thighs! Just like her momma! I think they are cute though!

To the Families of VA Tech

    Two months is too little
    They let him go
    They had no sudden healing
    To think that providence
Would take a child from his mother
    While she prays, is appalling
Who told us we’d be rescued
What has changed and Why should we be saved from nightmares
Were asking why this happens to us
Who have died to live, it’s unfair
This is what it means to be held
How it feels, when the sacred is torn from your life
    And you survive
This is what it is to be loved and to know
That the promise was that when everything fell
    We’d be held
    This hand is bitterness
We want to taste it andLet the hatred numb our sorrows
    The wise hand opens slowly
To lilies of the valley and tomorrow
This is what it means to be held
How it feels, when the sacred is torn from your life
    And you survive
This is what it is to be loved and to know
That the promise was that when everything fell
    We’d be held
If hope if born of suffering
If this is only the beginning
Can we not wait, for one hour
    Watching for our savior
This is what it means to be held
How it feels, when the sacred is torn from your life
    And you survive
This is what it is to be loved and to know
That the promise was that when everything fell
    We’d be held

    Isn't she cute!

    Easter

Here are some Easter Pics. Bella wore her dress that Justin bought her as soon as we found out we were having a girl! We tried to put a little barrett in her hair. It took some work and a little hair spray but it finally worked! No shoes fit her so she went bare foot but I didn't paint her toenails pink to match her dress. We went over to Brian and Laura's house and hung out there. We actually had nice weather here which is a change from last year when it snowed and the usual rain in Seattle! It was nice to have a Sunday afternoon and evening "off" and get to hang out together with each other and our friends. Hope everyone had a Happy Easter!
