The Carpenter Family

Justin and I moved to Nevada in August 2005. We love it here. However we miss our family and friends back home. Our church here is great! We have been married for 7 years. We have one Daughter, Isabella who was born Oct 19 2006 and a son Caleb due in Feb of 2009! This blog is for our Family and Friends to catch up on how we are doing. What a great invention!

    Happy Birthday Isabella!

I can't believe she is already One Year's Old! It's amazing! She is amazing! We had a birthday party for her on Saturday and she had so much fun! Her Best Friend Grace was there so it was even better! :) Thank you to everyone for coming! She wore a butterfly costume with wings that my mom had bought her. It was adorable! She tried to "help" open her presents but she would get distracted with something else! She had pink frosting all over the place! It was so cute to watch her eat it and play with it. She had her doctor's appointment yesterday and she weighed exactly 20lbs and she is 30 and 3/4 inches tall! She is walking around on furniture and cruising between it as well. She loves all her "walker" toys since she can walk around the room better. When we sing " This little light of mine" she points her little finger in the air and shakes it. She is also learning Itsy Bitsy Spider and will sometimes do the rain and the sun! It's so funny! She loves giving kisses and waving Bye Bye. If it's time to go she will point to the door, too! It's amazing how fast they grow and learn. Pretty soon she will be walking and running all over the place. We love and adore her so much!

    Biodigradable Disposable Diapers!

Oh yeah! I found them at our Super Target here in Reno. I have been using them on Bella and they are wonderful! I tried the Seventh Generation diapers that are not bleached and they don't use any sort of chlorine so they are better than the environment but they gave her a diaper rash. These new diapers do not! I am not quite as daring to try the cloth diapers as Mary. The diapers are called Nature Babycare. They are biodegradable and are similar to Huggies. The website is www.naty.com. It explains, in not so much detail about how they are made. Target is the only store in the US that carries them. Our Target here has actually put them on clearance but I hope to see if maybe another store might get them in. What a great thing! No hassle and they are good for the environment! They are acutally not really that expensive. There are about 40 diapers in a package (which is also compostable) and its $10. I hope soon they will allow for shipping online. Anyway just thought I would let everyone know. Check out the website and see if your local Target carries them. Some of you should stock up now :) I will post later next week after Bella's 1 year bday party and her 1 year DR. appt!
