Carpenter Update
Well it has been awhile since I blogged but we have of course been busy! It's been the 1st Saturday in two weeks I can relax, well for a few hours while Bella naps! We have four additional services for a total of 8 services this weekend, so it's a good Saturday to wake up and "lounge".
Bella is awesome! She is growing up so much. Walking all the time. She understands so much everyday it's amazing. She had decided that talking is more fun then using sign language, which I guess is ok. I just thought it was really cute when Grace used it all the time. Oh well! She is precious and spunky and I love her so much! It's amazing that she is already 14 months old!
The Gathering is going great and Justin is doing an awesome job teaching and has a great Leadership team that supports him and they ROCK! We just finished our last series called HEROES in our LIFE! Groups. Jessica and her team did an awesome job putting that together and preparing it. So much time and work went into that! Go Jessica! :) And she was in seminary school at the same time! We are getting ready to do the Daniel Fast beginning Jan 6th thru Feb 3rd. It's a hard fast I think but that's just cause I LOVE FOOD! I don't think Me or Jessica Cagle should do this fast! :) But I will try my hardest. Hopefully with both Justin and I doing it together it will be easier for me! What will I do for Junk food! :) Nora help!
I love working at our church's pre-school, even if it is only two hours in the morning. Those kids are all amazing and they crack me up! One of the other teachers in the class is amazing, well they all are but her especially! Her and her husband have taken in her grandkids since the summer and they have sacrificed so much for them. They life those little kids would have with out them is unknown, but I am sure it wouldn't be happy and secure. They pour into those two lives with so much love and they get to go to a Christian school. They still need lots of prayer, the kids, her and her husband, and the kids parents, but the sacrifice they have made now will pay off HUGE in the end.
I also love working as the Nursery Coordinator for the services. I have met a lot of really great people and I get to work with kids! My favorite thing of all! We are at church alot with all of these things, but is there a better place on earth to be! We LOVE our church and all the people in it! Reno has been so much more than a different location or a place where our friends moved. We have really found out what we are supposed to be doing in life and we know that more is to come. We actually have learned so much more here than I think ever would have been possible anywhere else. We have been through hard times, good times, and so so times, through it all learning so much and changing so much in the process. When I look back at everything over the last almost 2 1/2 years we have lived here I can't believe it! If God ever tells us to move again, I know that we will be completly sad to leave but excited for our next adventure and growth.
Ok enough of all the update stuff. Here are a few pics over the last month. We went and cut down our christmas tree with Brian and Laura about two weeks ago. It was a lot of fun. Brian is such an outdoorsy guy that he is like a kid in a candy store when it snows and he can slide and get stuck and chase deer in the woods with his car! :) At least we didn't hit anything! I tried to get a pic of our tree but it didn't turn out. Merry Christmas everyone!
